Creating melon ball ice “cubes” is the easiest thing in the world and adds so much flavor and character to anything you use them in. With a simple melon baller and a little bit of freezer time, they are ready to go! They are a great way to chill your drinks and as they start to melt, they impart that fantastic melon-y taste as well. Then when you are done with your sips, you have a tasty snack to munch on at the end!
This recipe is so easy that you hardly need instructions! In fact, just a simple video should do the trick. Check out ours below.
Use frozen melon balls in sparkling water (like we do here) or float them in a huge bowl of punch. We love this watermelon version by MyWholeFood Life. Yum! Or! – for a more adult kick, try melon balls in a delicious sangria or cocktail. Don’t forget the paper umbrella!
We even like melon ball ice just on its own as a snack right out of the freezer. The kids will love them, too! So get your hands on a melon baller and get balling!
